What started as a simple film test for Stephen Marino, using some of his new Cine lenses, turned into a larger project than anticipated. Shot entirely on 16 mm with available light, the film focuses on AJ Herrold, a legendary New Yorker and writer/skater/moto rider, inside his iconic garden apartment in NYC. Here at Ace Coffee Outpost, we adore the fringes of society and celebrate people pursuing their passions without anyone telling them they can’t. With the premiere of this film, we are also introducing a new blend of coffee in a lovely reusable metal container, inspired by an old Harley Davidson oil can from the 1970s, featuring an emblazoned likeness of AJ on the side.
